ON PETITION FOR ADVERSE POSSESSION

The State of Kansas to All Persons Concerned:

You are hereby notified that on the 25th day of February 2025, a petition was filed in said court by Robin L. Sifrit and Katherine Sifrit, praying for an Order of declaratory judgment for the following described real estate:

That part of the Southeast ¼ of Section 21, Township 19 South, Range 7 West of the 6th Principal Meridian, in Rice County, Kansas described as follows: Beginning at a point 150 feet South and 20 feet East of Center of main line of the Marion and McPherson Railway on the North and South half section line of said Section 21, thence East 250 feet parallel with the railroad right of way; thence South 100 feet; thence West 250 feet; parallel with the railroad right of way; thence North 100 feet to the place of beginning; and

That part of the Southeast ¼ of Section 21, Township 19 South, Range 7 West, described as follows: Commencing at a point 150 feet South of the Marion and McPherson Railroad (now A.T. & S. F. R.R.) where said railroad crosses the West line of the Southeast ¼ of said Section 21; and East of said line and parallel with said railroad, 270 feet; running thence South 100 feet; thence West 250 feet; thence South 50 feet; thence East 150 feet; parallel with said railroad; thence North 150 feet; thence West 200 feet; parallel with said railroad to place of beginning.

You are hereby required to file your written defenses thereto on or before the 18th day of April 2025, at 9:30 a.m. of said day, in said court, in the city of Lyons, Rice County, Kansas, at which time and place said cause will be heard.  Should you fail therein, judgment and decree will be entered in due course upon said petition.
